David Schilling, M.S., owner of NorthLogic.ai, brings a rare combination of frontline criminal-justice experience and modern AI capabilities, specializing in helping police, corrections, and intelligence units adopt AI safely, ethically, and effectively.
His background in jail intelligence, gang investigations, extremist groups, and officer training gives him the operational perspective that most tech-sector AI instructors lack. David’s instruction is practical, policy-aware, and built for real-world use inside agencies that must protect CJIS and PII while staying ahead of rapid technology shifts.
David is a nationally recognized law enforcement instructor and corrections intelligence specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in gang intelligence, white supremacist extremism, and jail intelligence process development. Since 2006, he has served as a Gang Intel Deputy and STG specialist, collaborating with local, state, federal, and international agencies—including the National Gang Intelligence Center, UK law enforcement, and numerous U.S. task forces.
David is the author of Norse/Germanic Runes & Symbols: Field Reference Guide for Law Enforcement & Corrections and The Jail Intelligence Manual, both of which are used by police and correctional professionals across the U.S., Australia, and the UK. His expertise has been called on in significant cases, as an expert on Odinism for the 2024 Delphi, Indiana murder trial and as an expert consultant on Runes/Odinism for the 2022 Jerrod Baum capital murder case in Utah.
A sought-after speaker, David has trained personnel at MGIA, MACIA, FGIA, ROCIC, NCGIA, TNGIA, and other gang investigation, corrections, and intel associations. He has presented on topics including radicalized Asatru/Odinism, extremist symbology, sovereign citizens, lone wolf shooters, inmate manipulation tactics, and the use of AI for cops and corrections. In recent years, David has expanded into the intersection of technology and public safety.
Through his AI projects, he teaches law enforcement how to responsibly and effectively use artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot for investigative leads, intelligence gathering, report writing, and officer wellness, to name a few.
David holds a master’s degree in criminal justice and has completed graduate coursework in terrorism, education, and digital security. He serves as a trainer for Homefront Protective Group and is passionate about equipping frontline professionals with actionable tools, accurate intel, and practical tactics that protect both staff and community.
